V neděli 14.dubna se konalo v kulturním domě v Tichově divadelní představení Don Quijote de la Ancha v hlavní roli se Zdeňkem Mazáčem.

V sobotu 15.března se uskutečnil již 11.ročník koštu slivovice vypálené v tichovské pálenici. Letos bylo do soutěže zařazeno 38 vzorků.

Obec Tichov je malou valašskou vesnicí, která leží 5 km severozápadně od Valašských Klobouk. Rozkládá se v údolí kolem Tichovského potoka na jižním okraji Vizovických vrchů v nadmořské výšce 430-495 m. n. m.

Obec Tichov má 340 obyvatel žijících ve 107 staveních. Katastr obce má výměru 732 ha.

Oblast kolem Tichova byla osídlena již v pravěku. Bezpečný doklad o osídlení zdejšího kraje existuje z doby bronzové. V trati Stráže bylo prozkoumáno rozsáhlé žárové pohřebiště kultury popelnicových polí z mladší a pozdní doby bronzové – lužická kultura.
